Departure

The group collected at Jamacha Junction at 0630 local time, and actually got underway at 7:30 - not too bad! The border crossing at Tecate went smoothly, with a few folks being pulled into secondary briefly. Thank goodness for the FRS radios! We would have been in a world of hurt trying to keep people together without them.

After we left Tecate on Highway 2, we kept collected by this Tecate Beer Truck - how appropriate for a lead vehicle in a geologists' convoy!
